1. Tax-Deductible Status and Receipts

  • Tax Deductibility: Footy for Climate Ltd is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and holds Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia.

  • Instant Receipts: All donations are processed through our fundraising platform, Raisely. An official tax receipt will be automatically generated and emailed to you at the address provided immediately following a successful transaction.

2. Fundraising Licence Disclosure

Footy for Climate is legally authorised to raise funds across Australia.

  • New South Wales: Charitable Fundraising Authority No. 28002

  • Queensland: Collections Act Register No. CH4929962

  • Tasmania: Charitable Purposes Approval No. C/11602

  • Western Australia: Charitable Collections Licence No. CC24103

  • Victoria: Registered Fundraiser No. FR0018004

  • South Australia / ACT / Northern Territory: Registered via ACNC cross-border notification.

3. Allocation of Funds

  • Donations will be allocated at the discretion of Footy for Climate to support its charitable purposes and programs.

  • While we may highlight specific projects, stories, or urgent needs during a campaign, all gifts are considered unrestricted unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Giving Tiers and Donor Benefits

Footy for Climate offers the following giving tiers as part of this campaign:

  • $55 - Supporter: Named on our website as a Foundation Supporter.

  • $98 - Cheer Squad: Everything above, plus named in our annual impact report.

  • $195 - Premiership Circle: Everything above, plus behind-the-scenes video updates from our AFL and AFLW players on our latest Power Forward clubs.

  • $1,200 - Engine Room: Everything above, plus a personal video message from our AFL and AFLW players on where our work is headed.

Tax deductibility: All giving tier benefits are recognition-based (website acknowledgement, annual report listing, player video messages). These do not constitute material benefits and do not affect the tax deductibility of your gift. The full donation amount remains tax-deductible.

5. Payment Processing and Security

  • Secure Processing: Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe via the Raisely platform.

  • Data Security: Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1 - the most stringent level of security available in the payments industry. Footy for Climate and Raisely do not store, view, or have access to your full credit card number or sensitive financial data.

  • Authorisation: By completing your donation, you authorise Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the specified amount.

6. Recurring Donations

If you choose to become a recurring donor:

  • Automatic Billing: You authorise Stripe to automatically charge your selected payment method at the frequency you specified (e.g., monthly).

  • Monthly donations will be processed on the same date each month as your original payment date.

  • Card Updates: Stripe may automatically update your card details if your bank issues a replacement card, ensuring your support continues uninterrupted.

  • Cancellation: You can cancel or modify your recurring gift at any time. To ensure you are not charged for the next cycle, please contact us at team@footyforclimate.org.au at least 3 business days before your next scheduled donation.

7. Fees and Refund Policy

As a general rule, donations to Footy for Climate are non-refundable. However, we recognise that mistakes happen.

  • Refund Requests: If you made an error in your donation amount or accidentally duplicated a transaction, please contact us at team@footyforclimate.org.au within 14 days of the transaction date. Refunds will be issued at our discretion and returned via the original payment method.

  • Optional Fee Coverage: If you choose to select the option to cover processing fees, this additional amount is considered part of your total voluntary donation and will be included in the total sum listed on your tax receipt.

8. Privacy

Footy for Climate collects and handles your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Donor data is used solely for donation processing, tax receipting, giving tier recognition, and donor communications. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
